This Cookie Notice explains how Absurditi LLC ("Absurditi") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
Effective date: October 30, 2026. Last updated: October 30, 2026.
1. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a site. We also use local storage in your browser to remember interface preferences. Like cookies, local storage is stored on your device but is not sent automatically with every request.
2. How we use these technologies
Today we use cookies and storage for:
- Strictly necessary authentication: keeping you signed in to a customer or staff account securely;
- Security: protecting sessions and supporting CSRF and origin checks on authenticated requests;
- Preferences: remembering appearance (light/dark/system) and sidebar behavior you choose in the site footer.
We do not currently deploy third-party advertising cookies, social media pixels, or cross-site tracking analytics on the public site. If we introduce non-essential cookies in the future, we will update this notice and, where required (including in the EEA/UK), request your consent before setting them.
3. Cookie and storage table
| Name / key | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
absurditi_session (development)__Host-absurditi_session (production, when enabled) | HttpOnly cookie — strictly necessary | Opaque customer session identifier; server validates on each authenticated API request. Not accessible to JavaScript. | Session lifetime (typically up to 7 days of inactivity or as configured); removed on logout or password reset. |
absurditi_staff_session | HttpOnly cookie — strictly necessary (employees only) | Separate staff session for internal users after login and MFA. Not used for customer marketing or public analytics. | Same session lifetime pattern as customer sessions. |
absurditi.appearance.preferenceabsurditi.sidebar.behavior | Local storage — functional | Stores your chosen appearance and sidebar behavior on this device only. | Until you clear site data or change preferences. |
4. Legal basis (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)
- Strictly necessary cookies (authentication and security) are used based on our legitimate interest in providing secure services and, where applicable, to perform our contract with you when you log in or purchase.
- Preference storage is based on your choice when you adjust settings; you can reset by clearing site data or selecting default options again.
- Any future analytics or marketing cookies will rely on consent where required, managed through a consent tool we will describe here.
5. United States (including California)
Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, cookie-based "opt-out of sale/share" signals (such as Global Privacy Control) are not required for that purpose today. If our practices change, we will honor applicable opt-out signals as required by California and other state laws.
6. Managing cookies and storage
You can control cookies and local storage by:
- Using Log out on your account to clear the session cookie;
- Adjusting browser settings to block or delete cookies (blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent login);
- Clearing site data for our domain in your browser (this resets appearance and sidebar preferences);
- Using private browsing modes (sessions end when you close the window, subject to browser behavior).
For staff accounts, your organization may also enforce additional device policies.
7. Do Not Track
Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals. There is no uniform industry standard for responding to them. We treat DNT as a preference signal where law requires and will document any changes here.
8. Updates and contact
We may update this notice when we add features or cookies. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
